The Syrian Crisis
Overview
Syrians are the largest forcibly displaced population globally, with 90% in poverty and 11 million lacking essential resources after a decade of conflict. Syria’s collapsed healthcare system worsens the crisis, and only 46% of humanitarian needs are met despite international aid. Of the 6.8 million refugees who have fled, many have reshaped neighboring countries.
The Human Development Fund (HDF) has supported over one million refugees in Turkey and Jordan.
Challenges
The Syrian crisis has displaced 6.8 million refugees across Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, and Europe, with only 300,000 returning. Host nations continue to shoulder the humanitarian burden. Your support is crucial in helping these refugees rebuild and envision a brighter future. Let’s unite in resilience and hope.
