By now, you’ve seen what your generosity made possible across Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia and beyond. Food, clean water, urgent medical aid and more were delivered in one of the most difficult Ramadans in recent memory. But the impact of this month wasn’t only felt in the field. It was felt in our masjids and community centers. In campus classrooms and living rooms. It was carried by volunteers, guided by scholars, and led by a community that refused to stand still in the face of suffering. Because while relief was delivered overseas, something just as powerful was built right here: connection, conviction, and a reminder that change begins wherever hearts are moved.
Together We Rise: Where Community Became Relief
Across the country, Together We Rise wasn’t just a campaign, it was a call to action that resonated from coast to coast. And you answered, not just with donations, but with presence. In masajids, community centers, and HDF-led gatherings, we broke fast beside one another, not only to share meals, but to also share a purpose. Scholars like Shaykh Yahya Rhabaay, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, Shaykh AbdulNasir Jangda, and Ustadh AbdelRahman Murphy offered reminders that stirred hearts and inspired hands to serve.
Youth stood shoulder to shoulder with elders. Du’as filled the space between bites. These were not ordinary iftars. They were moments proof that when we show up with sincerity, we build more than events… we build a stronger Ummah.
The Month of Giving: Youth-Led Mission
Ramadan is the month of generosity and this year, our youth carried that spirit with power and purpose. Through The Month of Giving, MSAs, youth-led orgs, and student coalitions turned awareness into action. They organized iftars and campus drives, hosted events, launched digital campaigns, and raised funds for Gaza and Sudan not out of obligation, but out of love.
They didn’t wait for directions. They created it. From khutbahs on justice to late-night flyer runs, their commitment proved that compassion and leadership are not bound by age. Audiences were educated. And a new generation reminded us all that the future of this Ummah is not only capable, it’s already answering the call.
Virtual Ramadan Series: Knowledge That Traveled Farther
Some hearts joined us from afar but distance didn’t mean disconnection. Our Virtual Ramadan Series brought nightly reminders to homes across the globe, featuring beloved scholars like Shaykh Yahya Al- Rabaay, Shaykh AbdulNasir Ustadh Murphy, and Mufti Kamani. Screens became sanctuaries. Families gathered before iftar, sharing in lessons that reached far beyond the moment. Youth captured quotes and spread them across timelines. Viewers tuned in and then turned inspiration into immediate giving. Sometimes, the most powerful form of connection is the quiet one, the kind that brings people closer together and a heart that feels seen from miles away.
Suhoor Efforts & Eid Joy
HDF staff and volunteers took to the streets in the stillness of night, delivering warm suhoor meals to those in need. Not for recognition but because care doesn’t keep office hours. And when Eid arrived, joy followed. Across cities, your impact helped wrap thousands of Eid gifts with love and deliver them to children who needed them most. This was more than a celebration. It was a shared declaration: that no child should feel forgotten, and no family left out of joy. That even in grief and struggle, the Ummah shows up with open arms and unwavering hearts.
More Than a Campaign — It Was a Movement
What we witnessed this Ramadan was not a program or a project. It was a movement born from worship, shaped by compassion, and driven by you. You didn’t just give. You showed up. You built spaces, inspired others, and led with conviction, from the ground in Gaza to the warmth of your own community.
At HDF, we don’t take that lightly. We carry your trust with humility. And we share these stories not just to reflect, but to reaffirm: that our commitment doesn’t end when the month does. Because if this Ramadan taught us anything, it’s that when we rise together — there’s no limit to what we can reach. Thank you for your trust and patience. More reflections are coming. More reports. More lives changed, InshAllah — through you.
