You should never have to wonder where your generosity went. HDF’s Ramadan 1446 Impact Report follows that trust from donation to delivery and records how your support reached more than 496,000 people.
Across communities facing conflict, displacement, drought and poverty, your giving helped provide meals, clean water, food parcels, Eid gifts, hygiene supplies and medical care. Each figure represents practical help delivered to a person or family during Ramadan.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught: “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress in this world, Allah will relieve his distress in the Hereafter” (Sahih Muslim 2699a). Your generosity helped bring that relief within reach.
Ramadan 1446 Impact Report at a glance
During Ramadan 1446, HDF reported:
- More than 496,000 people reached
- 205,462 hot meals served
- 410,000 liters of clean water delivered
- 14,300 food parcels distributed
- 3,000 children given Eid gifts
- More than 800 hygiene kits delivered
These totals show the scale of the response. The stories behind them show why it mattered.
Gaza: food and clean water during crisis
Before Ramadan began, HDF teams and partners were preparing assistance for families in Gaza. The report records more than 145,800 people supported there during the month.
That response included:
- 60,000 hot meals
- 400,000 liters of clean water
- 1,720 food parcels, supporting 10,600 people
- Clothing kits, toys and sweets that brought Eid moments to 1,200 children
Food and water could not remove the uncertainty families faced. However, a meal at Iftar reduced one immediate worry. Clean water helped protect health when safe supplies were scarce.
Relief across more than 20 countries
The response extended across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. HDF’s report records work in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Kenya, Jordan and many other locations. Local teams adapted the assistance to the needs in each community.
In Somalia, the response combined food and water support. HDF reported 200 households receiving food parcels, 6,000 hot meals served and 66 water tanks reaching an estimated 115,500 people.
Different places required different forms of support. Still, the purpose remained the same: help families meet immediate needs and let them know that they had not been forgotten.
Beyond food: hygiene and medical care
Hunger rarely stands alone. Displacement and damaged infrastructure can also limit access to sanitation and healthcare.
HDF’s report records more than 800 hygiene kits delivered across the response. It also describes the Gaza Medical Clinic and mobile medical caravans that brought care closer to families who could not safely reach other services.
These services addressed different needs, but they shared one principle: care should protect dignity as well as meet an urgent need.
