Years Of Crisis Take Their Toll On Afghanistan

Afghanistan has endured decades of conflict, political instability, and natural disasters, leading to a severe and prolonged humanitarian crisis. The recent changes in governance have further complicated the situation, impacting millions of lives. The country faces widespread poverty, food insecurity, and a fragile healthcare system, requiring sustained humanitarian assistance.

Situation On The Ground

Flood Support: Provide urgent relief to Afghan families affected by devastating floods. Your donation helps supply essential items like water coolers, cooking utensils, and tarps for shelter. Together, we can aid recovery efforts and bring hope to those in need during this crisis.

Food Insecurity: Approximately 22.8 million people are facing acute food insecurity, with the situation exacerbated by droughts, economic decline, and disruptions in agricultural production. Malnutrition rates are alarmingly high, particularly among children under five.

Orphan Back to School: Give orphaned children in Afghanistan the tools they need to succeed. For just $20, you can provide a school bag filled with essential supplies like notebooks, pencils, and pens. Help them return to school prepared and ready to learn, empowering their future.

Aid for Flood Victims: HDF is swiftly mobilizing emergency aid efforts on the ground with our local partners, providing essential supplies such as food, shelter, and medical assistance to the most vulnerable families affected by the disaster. We are steadfast in our commitment to transparently and efficiently utilize donations, ensuring that every dollar directly benefits those in need. Additionally, this cause is eligible for Zakat contributions.

Our work so far

Education
HDF’s Education Center in Afghanistan currently serves 900 students, including 500 girls and 400 boys, offering one of the last operating academic spaces for women and girls in the region. Students receive training in math, science, literacy, Islamic studies, vocational skills, and more. Gender-inclusive classrooms, qualified teachers, and two-session scheduling make this space a safe and empowering educational hub.
