The Problem
Mothers and children in Borama and Sudan face preventable death: unaffordable emergency care during childbirth in Borama, and severe malnutrition among displaced families in Sudan.
The Solution
HDF fully funds maternal and neonatal care at AlHayat Hospital in Borama, and, through an extension of HDF’s Al-Amin Clinic, therapeutic food and nutrition screening for displaced mothers and children in AlAfaad Camp, Sudan.
The Impact
In Borama, HDF has already funded care for 160 mothers and 25 newborns with zero deaths. In Sudan, HDF is extending Al-Amin Clinic’s reach with dedicated nutrition support.
