Invocation when getting dressed

Readالْحَمْدُ للَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا (الثَّوْبَ) وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلاَ قُوَّة...All Praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself.

Invocation when putting on new clothes

Readاللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ …O Allah, for You is all praise, You have clothed me with it i.e. the garment, I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You…

Invocations for someone who has put on new clothes

Dua 1تُبْلِي وَيُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَىMay you wear it out and Allah تعالى replace it with another.’Dua 2اِلْبَسْ جَدِيداً وَعِشْ حَمِيداً وَمُتْ شَهِيداًWear anew, live commendably and die a shaheed.

Readبِسْمِ اللَّهِIn the name of Allah.

What to say when leaving the home

Dua 1بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَاَ حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِIn the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.Dua 2اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ، أَوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ، أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ، أَوْ أُ…O Allah, I take refuge with You lest I should stray or be led astray, or slip or be tripped, or oppress or be oppressed, or behave foolishly or be treated foolishly.

What to say when entering the home

Readبِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا، ثُمَّ لِيُسَلِّم…In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

Congratulations for new parents and how they should respond

Readبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي الْمَوْهُوبِ لَكَ، وَشَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ، وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ، وَرُزِقْتَ بِرَّهُMay Allah bless the child granted to you, enable you to thank the Giver, allow the child to reach maturity, and bless you with the child’s dutifulness.

How to seek Allah's protection for children

Readأُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍI commend you two to the protection of Allah’s perfect words from every devil, vermin, and every evil eye.

Invocation for the groom

Readبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍMay Allah bless for you your spouse and bless you, and may He unite both of you in goodness.

The groom’s supplication on the wedding night or when buying an animal

Readاللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا، وَشَ…O Allah, I ask You for the goodness within her and the goodness that you have made her inclined towards, and I take refuge with You from the evil within her and the evil…

Invocation to be recited before intercourse

Readبِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَاIn the name of Allah. O Allah, keep the devil away from us and keep the devil away from what you have blessed us with.
