During Ramadan 2025, the HDF Ramadan 2025 campaign, Together We Rise, brought several humanitarian efforts under one message: families facing hunger, displacement and conflict should not be forgotten. Supporters were invited to help provide food parcels, Iftar meals and emergency assistance across several countries.
The campaign connected the generosity of Ramadan with practical needs. A parcel could help a household plan beyond one meal. A warm Iftar could bring relief at the end of a day of fasting. Emergency assistance could help a family facing the disruption of conflict and displacement.
Food for families through the HDF Ramadan 2025 campaign
Through One Ummah, One Plate, HDF focused on food support for families in Gaza, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kenya. The initiative also included food assistance for Syrian refugees in Turkey and Palestinian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon.
Each food parcel contained an average of 56.77 kilograms (125 pounds) of staples. It was designed to support a family of five to seven people for one month. HDF also sought to source food locally whenever possible, helping meet immediate needs while supporting local suppliers and livelihoods.

These details matter because food support is not an abstract promise. It can give a household something dependable to prepare and reduce the uncertainty surrounding the next meal.
A warm Iftar after a day of fasting
Together We Rise also included warm Iftar meals for people who might otherwise have little or nothing with which to break their fast. The purpose was simple: help families and individuals reach sunset knowing that a meal would be waiting.

Campaign artwork from Ramadan 2025 thanked supporters for helping provide Iftar meals at Al-Aqsa Mosque. Behind that message is a familiar human need: after a long day of fasting, people should be able to sit down, eat and share the moment with others.
Emergency support for Gaza, Sudan and Syrian refugees
Food was one part of the campaign. Through Lift the Levant, HDF also highlighted emergency food aid, medical support and shelter for people affected by the crisis in Gaza and for Syrian refugees.

The Month of Giving initiative focused on families in Sudan and Gaza. Its priorities included shelter for displaced households, daily bread for families facing hunger and infant-care support for babies at risk of malnutrition.

The needs and circumstances were different in each place. Still, the responsibility was shared: to respond with useful support and to remember the people behind every parcel, meal and supply delivery.
Shared responsibility beyond one month
Together We Rise showed how Ramadan giving could connect communities across borders. Donors, local teams and partners each carried part of the work, from funding assistance to sourcing supplies and reaching families.
HDF’s Together We Rise campaign video offers another look at the message behind the 2025 campaign.
