The Dhul Hijjah impact report for 2024 begins with a number, but that number belongs to people: more than 500,000. Across 20 countries, Qurbani meat reached households at Eid al-Adha because donors entrusted their sacrifices to Human Development Fund (HDF).
The same report records more than 5,000 Qurbani sacrifices. Each one began with an intention to worship Allah and became food shared with another person.
Inside the Dhul Hijjah impact report
The overall results show the reach of that collective generosity:
- More than 5,000 Qurbani sacrifices were completed.
- Over 500,000 people benefited from Qurbani meat during Eid.
- 20 countries were reached, including Gaza.
These totals help HDF account for what was delivered. They also help donors see how thousands of individual sacrifices became one shared act of care across borders.
In Gaza, support went beyond Qurbani
The report also documents HDF’s response in Gaza during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, from June 7 through June 16, 2024. Alongside food support, teams distributed clean water across several areas.
In those ten days, HDF reported distributing 1,575,000 liters of water to 315,000 people, representing 78,750 families. The report also records bread distributions during the same period.
For families living through crisis, water and bread met needs that could not wait. Their inclusion in the report shows that the season’s response extended beyond the sacrifice itself.
Your Qurbani was an Amanah
An Amanah is a trust. When you placed your Qurbani with HDF, that trust included completing the sacrifice and showing you where the work reached.
That is why reporting matters. A summary does not hold every family’s story, but it gives donors a clear account of the countries reached, sacrifices completed and people served. It allows gratitude to sit beside responsibility.
