1.57 Million Meals. 27 Countries. One Ummah

Mustafa Ahmed

The Ramadan 2026 Impact Report tells a simple but powerful story: this Ramadan, you showed up.

Across 27 countries, HDF delivered 1.57 million meals and reached more than 180,000 people. From Gaza and Sudan to Pakistan, Lebanon and communities here in the United States, families were able to break their fast with food on the table.

The Ramadan 2026 Impact Report records the scale of that effort. But its meaning goes beyond a total. Every meal represents a family welcomed to the table, a parent carrying one less worry and a community reminded that it had not been forgotten.

Gaza in the Ramadan 2026 Impact Report

The need in Gaza remained profound throughout Ramadan. Even in the middle of displacement and uncertainty, support reached families in shelters, camps and mosques.

In the first 15 days of Ramadan, HDF’s response in Gaza provided:

  • More than 105,215 Iftar meals
  • 1,657 food parcels
  • Support reaching 7,280 people

These figures tell part of the story. Behind them were families able to gather around a meal at the end of a day of fasting. In a place where so much of ordinary life has been disrupted, that moment of nourishment and togetherness mattered.

Inside the Ramadan 2026 Impact Report

The response stretched far beyond one place. Communities across 27 countries received food during Ramadan, including:

  • Pakistan: 240,000 meals
  • Lebanon: 127,650 meals
  • Sudan: 118,000 meals
  • Gaza: more than 105,215 meals

Support also reached Kenya, Yemen, Egypt, Somalia, Bangladesh, the United States and more than 20 other countries.

The settings were different, but the purpose was shared: to help families welcome Iftar with something to eat and to make sure people facing hardship knew that others were standing with them.

The people behind the numbers

Impact reports depend on numbers. They help HDF account for what was delivered and show donors where their support went. Yet numbers alone cannot hold the full story.

A meal can mean a parent does not have to wonder how the family will eat that evening. A food parcel can give a household more than one day of support. A shared Iftar can offer a moment of familiarity and connection during an uncertain time.

That is why the totals matter, and why the people behind them matter more.

When Ramadan ends, the responsibility remains

Ramadan has ended, but the circumstances facing many families have not. People in Gaza, Sudan and communities around the world continue to live with conflict, displacement and food insecurity.

HDF’s Ramadan response was possible because donors, volunteers, local partners and teams across 27 countries worked toward the same purpose. Together, they helped turn generosity into meals and made care visible across borders.

This Ramadan, you did more than contribute to a number.

You helped families eat. You offered a measure of ease. You showed up when it mattered.
